Photos From A Dying Alzheimer's Brain - A Journey of
Faith and Hope
This is not an ordinary photography website. It was born out of my diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, the multiple cognitive issues that have arisen and which continue to arise. All photos on this site were created by me after I received my diagnosis of vascular dementia and was already experiencing many of my symptoms.
I was a practicing full time trial attorney for 40 years. Alzheimers ended my career in 2025 and forced me to confront my place in society and whether I still have anything to contribute.
The purpose of this website is to encourage people with life limiting cognitive diseases to realize that they still have value, as humans and as members of society. My journey over the last ten years has been a journey of educating myself, dealing with difficult challenges, and experiencing sadness. I have also found more faith, hope, peace, and beauty. I know you can too.
This website is also intended to remind people that although there are tragedies in our lives, the earth and God’s creations on it, are here to “benefit [men and women] both to please the eye … to gladden the heart… and to enliven the soul.” (Doctrine & Covenants 59:19)Even if you have dementia!
